January 2020: Headrest Hooks
I first saw headrest hooks on some blogger's list of things I supposedly needed. I'm so glad! I don't know why I always think the bag of groceries is going to stay upright, because it NEVER happens. Inevitably, something gets away and rolls under the seat. Luckily, I normally find it the same day, but these eliminate all that trouble and worry. They hook around most headrests and can face forward or backward, depending on your needs. $7.99/4 is a small price to pay for that kind of security!
November 2019: Progressive ProKeeper 6 Piece Canister Set
I ask for a lot in a canister, and these ProKeeper's have accessories I didn't even know I wanted. First, I can fit a cup scoop in the flour canister. I'm NOT pouring flour into a measuring cup from a canister; it doesn't end well. The flour canister has a leveler, the confectioner sugar canister has a leveler and a sifter spoon, the sugar canister has a pour spout, and the brown sugar canister has a terra cotta insert to help keep it soft. I'm loving them!
I don't really do mail order subscriptions...until I found Grove Collaborative. The selection of cleaning and personal care products is impressive, and so are the prices - equal to or LESS than what I've been spending for the same products at Target. Spend less AND have it delivered directly to your door? Yes please! Plus, you'll get a $35 Mrs. Meyer's Gift set FREE with your first order!
August 2019: Decluttering at the Speed of Life (Book)
Decluttering at the Speed of Life is a great read. In her second book, Dana White outlines her method for decluttering. It's sure to help many of us who are struggling with the emotions our stuff elicits, lack of time, and the interruptions of daily life.
July 2019: Robo-Grip Pliers
Either you have these and love them, or you've never heard of them. Give them a try, and you'll never use pliers or channel locks or adjustable wrenches again. I have these in two sizes, and they're wonderful. They lock down and HOLD without slipping. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
June 2019: Bamboo Makeup Remover Pads
I'm loving these! And yes, they do relate to organization. No need to store several disposable rounds when you have these reusable ones. I've had them for over a month now, and I don't know what took me so long to get them in the first place. They're soft and wash up beautifully, and they come with a small bag so they'll stay together in the washer and dryer (although, I let mine air dry).
I bought these for three reasons: (1) They're pretty, (2) Easier to operate, and (3) They're pretty. They come in sets of two, and we have four. One for my shampoo, one for my conditioner, one for dish soap, and one on reserve. And the labels are just a cute bonus.
BONUS: Pot Cabinet Organizers
A certain before and after picture of a client's pot cabinet has gotten a lot of attention recently. You want to know: where did she get the organizers??? Asked and answered! Here are the links: pot lid organizer, pot organizer, and this pot/pot lid organizer.
Remember the erasable pens from years ago that looked like pencils and just didn't live up to the promise? This is NOT that pen. I love these. I have several, and I keep the refills on hand. They write beautifully and erase well. End of story. I use them in my planner because it changes daily (or hourly), and I just really want to write with a pen! If exposed to high heat, there's a chance the ink will fade, but I've only experience this once, and it didn't stop me from buying more. I always have black on hand and some fun colors just in case.
To go along with our Organizing Tip this month, these Underbed Storage Bins help you take advantage of that extra storage space underneath your bed. They're large enough to hold what you need and small enough to easily move around.
Maybe you don't have a dresser or lack sufficient dresser space. Or maybe it just works for you. Regardless of the reason, you have stacks of bedding, clothing, towels, tablecloths, or whatever on the wire shelves in your closet, and it's not easy to maintain. The problem is the stacks slip. They just do. And who has time to straighten them after every slip?
These shelf dividers will help by providing a barrier between the stacks to prevent slipping. Do you still have to be mindful when grabbing stuff from the middle or bottom of the stack? Yes. Will stacks slide from side to side causing possible closet avalanches? No. There ya go.
Just bought this, and I love it! I had one previously, and it was accidentally donated with a carload of client donations. (Oops!) Bonus: this one is better. It's more sturdy, has more possible configurations, and more pockets. Really tidies up my trunk and makes everything easy to find. Get yours here.
HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS STUFF? I think I've read something on it before, but after reading this, it's on the wish list!

Write it down and get it off your brain. Write it all down! Get a notebook that (1) you like and (2) you will actually carry with you. Date the page and go to town. Thoughts. Ideas. Goals. Phone messages. To-do lists for the day. Calls to make. Story and blog ideas. Everything goes into the notebook.
I like this one from Amazon. Don't agree? No problem. You find one that speaks to you and start writing!
For just under $15, this organizer will change your kitchen. It's the answer to all your kitchen wrap storage problems. The shelves are adjustable, so you can use it for regular and "family-size" boxes. It's made of ABS plastic and coated wires, so it wipes clean. And it's portable!
Until recently, I didn't "get" purse organizers. My purse is organized just fine, thank you! Then I read about this one, and I had to try it. IT HAS SO MANY POCKETS! While I didn't love it in my floppier purses (the structure of my bag wasn't stiff enough to hold it as intended), I could definitely see what all the fuss was about. If you change purses often, this organizer makes it a SNAP. Or if you have a bag that just lacks in pockets, it's a great addition.
Not-so-secret Secret: I love bookends!!! Suddenly, any flat spot in your home can hold a few books in a stylish way (i.e., better than a stack). I have cookbooks in the kitchen and rows of books on the dressers in the bedroom. Grab yours here.
I bought this jewelry organizer last month, and I finally moved my jewelry from the small storage boxes under the bed and into the organizer. I can actually see what I own and have been wearing more than just the same pieces.
I've never wanted one of these types of organizers. I found them completely inelegant. But the fact is, I don't have the space to organize my jewelry in a way that allows me to actually see what I own. And if I can't see it, I won't wear it. And then, what's the point? So far, I like it.
